I’m 48, overweight, with chronic back pain and until 4 months ago, I’d been pretty sedentary except for walking my dog, for the last 6-7 years.
When I met Brendan at FFF I was pretty sceptical that there was much he could do to help. I thought my days of being able to lift weights, build muscle and stretch were over, and I’d be living in pain for the rest of my life.
It turns out, Brendan is a master motivator and knew just what it was going to take to get me moving again. He took the time to understand what got me to this point, what limitations we were dealing with, and what my true motivation was for being there.
There was no pressure to train every single day as hard as possible, and the classes are small enough that I was getting the modified program and attention I needed to get the foundations right. I went from 2 visits a week up to 4-5 sessions in no time and I’m feeling great.
I’ve still got weight to lose, but the results have amazed me. I’ve lost centimetres around the waist, gained some size in my arms and thighs and changed the shape of my chest. I’ve got more energy throughout the day, even with the early starts. Best of all, I’m not needing any pain medication for my back, have almost full movement, and actually building a strong core.
It’s fun too, the classes are never crowded and it’s not too intense. Everyone is there to push themselves, but there’s no pressure to hit ‘beast mode’. Brendan has built a great team too to really complement his skills, Josh – the ‘perfect form’ general.
So, yeah, I’d recommend Brendan and the FFF team to absolutely anyone. - Jeff F, member since 2021
